Midnite Blu, born Everett Omari McFarlane, was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. Both his mother and father are of Jamaican descent and are core members of an Apostolic Faith Church. Blu is the youngest of 3 children, having an older sister and an older brother. Growing up, Blu was mischievous, but also had a deep love for music. Greatly needing an outlet, he used music as therapy; he listened to and admired many southern artists including U.G.K, OutKast, 8Ball & MJG, T.I, B.G, Soulja Slim. The aforementioned artists, along with many more, inspired Blu to make his own type of music. In 2005 he learned how to play the piano and started making up his own melodies. In 2008 he started making and producing beats as well as collaborating with friends who rap.  In 2009 he started writing and over time perfected his craft to become the artist/ producer he is today.
